Was this in reference to Noises Off! and if so, is she sincere. Noises Off! is a great show, but it is absolutely exhausting to get every little element to come together perfectly. 

She could also be joking, because the whole point of the show is that everything goes wrongs or ‘stinks’. So maybe she was talking about that … anyone have any idea? 

I performed in Noises Off! in my final year of high school and it was the most fun I’ve ever had working on a production. Yes it meant that every night I ran around with my pants down, faking blood noses and having sardines thrown in my hair but it was worth it. If you can pull it off, then it’s excellent. (If you can’t pull it off, not so much).

I’m near-certain that the quote is out of context with the photo - I don’t think she’d contest the genius of Noises Off! Unfortunately, I can’t remember what interview it’s from but I remember reading it. I want to say the interviewer was asking about Gypsy since it’s such a demanding part, and she was merely explaining that she found it exhilarating. Or maybe it was Lovett? Which I know she’s said was just a joy because the production and direction were so well done.
